How to Watch Your CCTV on Your Phone From Anywhere — Step by Step

After every CCTV camera installation in Barrackpore, the most common question is: "How do I watch my cameras on my phone?" This guide walks you through the setup for the most popular DVR brands used across North 24 Parganas.

What You Need for Remote CCTV Viewing

To watch your CCTV security cameras remotely you need: (1) DVR/NVR connected to your home internet router (2) the correct app on your smartphone and (3) the DVR's serial number. Most modern DVRs support cloud P2P access — no port-forwarding or static IP is needed.

Hikvision DVR — Hik-Connect App

Step 1: Download "Hik-Connect" from Play Store or App Store. Step 2: Create a free account. Step 3: In the app, tap "+" → "Scan QR Code". Step 4: On your Hikvision DVR, go to Menu → Network → Hik-Connect → Enable and scan the QR code shown on the DVR screen. Step 5: Your cameras appear in the app. This is the standard CCTV camera setup we complete with every Hikvision installation in Barrackpore.

CP Plus DVR — iDMSS / DMSS App

Step 1: Download "iDMSS Lite" (Android) or "DMSS" (iPhone). Step 2: Open app → "Device Manager" → "+" → "P2P". Step 3: On your CP Plus DVR, go to Menu → Network → P2P. Enable P2P and note the Serial Number shown. Step 4: Enter serial number in the app, set username (admin) and your password. Step 5: Tap Save — your cameras appear. Our cctv installation services team configures this for every customer before leaving.
