CCTV Camera Installation Services

What is CCTV Camera Installation?

CCTV camera installation (also called Surveillance Camera installation or security camera installation) is the process of fitting surveillance cameras at your home, shop or office to monitor and record activity 24/7. A complete installation includes cameras, a DVR or NVR recording unit, hard disk storage, cabling, power supplies and remote mobile viewing setup. Professional CCTV installation is more than simply mounting cameras on a wall. A properly installed surveillance system needs the right camera locations, reliable cabling, suitable recording equipment, adequate storage and correct configuration. At Shield Vision, we handle the complete installation process so your CCTV system is ready for reliable recording and remote monitoring.

Our team — the most trusted CCTV installer in Barrackpore — handles every type of CCTV security cameras installation, from a simple 2-camera home setup to a 16-camera commercial system with cloud backup.

Site Inspection & Security Assessment

Before installation, we assess the property layout, entry and exit points, important areas, mounting locations and cable routes. This helps determine the appropriate number and type of cameras for your security requirements.

Camera Selection & Placement

We recommend suitable bullet, dome, IP, PTZ or other CCTV cameras based on the area being monitored. Camera positioning is planned to maximise coverage, reduce blind spots and provide a useful viewing angle.

Professional Cabling & Mounting

Our installation includes camera mounting, cable routing, connections and power arrangements. Wherever practical, cables are routed neatly and protected from unnecessary exposure to reduce the risk of damage.

DVR/NVR & Hard Disk Setup

We install and configure the appropriate DVR or NVR, install the surveillance hard disk and configure recording settings according to the required storage period and camera count.

Recording & Camera Configuration

After connecting the system, we configure each camera, recording schedule, image settings and other required functions. We also check that cameras are recording correctly.

Mobile & Remote Viewing Setup

We configure CCTV viewing on your smartphone where the system supports remote access. You can view live footage and access recorded video remotely through the appropriate mobile application.

Testing & Customer Handover

Before completing the installation, we test the cameras, recording, playback and remote viewing. We demonstrate the basic operation of the system and explain how to view live footage and recorded video.

Why professional installation produces a better CCTV system

Buying good CCTV cameras is only the first step. The quality of the installation directly affects camera coverage, recording reliability, cable safety and the overall performance of your surveillance system. A professional installer assesses your property before installation, recommends suitable camera locations, plans cable routes and configures the recording system correctly. This helps avoid common problems such as blind spots, poor viewing angles, exposed cables and incorrect recording settings.

500+ Installations Completed

Our experience covers residential, retail, office, apartment and commercial CCTV installations, from small 2-camera systems to larger multi-camera surveillance projects.

Genuine Branded Products

We install CCTV systems using established brands such as CP Plus, Hikvision and Dahua, selected according to your property, security requirements and budget.

Proper Camera Placement with Neat & Reliable Cable Management

We assess entry points, gates, parking areas, cash counters, corridors and other important locations to position cameras for useful coverage and minimise blind spots. We plan practical cable routes and use suitable cabling, fittings and power arrangements. Concealed or protected wiring is used wherever the property allows.

Correct Recording & Storage Setup

We configure the DVR/NVR, surveillance hard disk, recording schedule and related settings according to the number of cameras and required recording period.

Mobile Viewing & System Handover

We configure mobile viewing where supported, test live view and playback, and demonstrate the basic operation of the CCTV system before completing the installation.
